Psytrance Lead in Zebra
In this Zebra 2 – Psytrance Lead tutorial video I show you how to create a typical Band Pass filter psytrance lead which is indicative to the genre.
Using an oscillator set to “eleven” In this Zebra 2 – Psytrance Lead tutorial, we start to get an indication of the sound immediately. We also use an Oscillator Module preset to get us started quickly.
The main features of the sound, however, comes from utilizing the XMF filter. We use it in parallel mode with HP2 (high pass) as the filter setting with the analogue setting also.
Using several of the XMF`s features, such as, key follow, overload and offset (some of which are automated) we start to get the desired sound coming through. We can then further use these parameters to really nail the sound with envelope modulation also playing a part in the sounds creation.
Finally we add effects, chorus for a metallic edge and width, E.Q for specific frequency attenuation and finally delay and reverb for space and some additional rhythmic groove.
Zebra 2 – Psytrance Lead shows you how easy it is to great a genre specific sound relatively easily and quickly with great sonic results.
