Zebra 2 - How To Make A Downshifter
In this Zebra 2 – How To Make A Downshifter we use an F.M.O as the generating source and use the FM by Input (where the F.M.O modulates itself by using any signal sent to its input) to create this classic Downshifter effect.
We use MSEG`s here for modulating the source tuning and further into the tutorial we use the MSEG`s to automate the delay and reverb effect send amount to give the sound added character, movement and depth.
This video is really all about the relationship between the LFO and the MSEG`s (Multi-stage-Envelope-Generator) which when used together modulating several different parameters gives you the overall familiarity of these types of sounds.
The final character of the sound is created by adding delay and reverb effects to make the sound tail of (if required) into the distance and blend seamlessly into the next section of your tune.
Zebra 2 – How To Make A Downshifter tutorial is very simple but the beauty of this tutorial is that when you speak to most people they perceive sounds like this to be complex to create. As you will see in this video they are not, they are, in-fact, extremely easy.
