Creating A Trance Pluck In Zebra
In this video, Zebra 2 – Creating A Trance Pluck, I show you how to create a high pitched pluck sound for those sweet melodies and arpeggiator lines.
Using a Single Oscillator with vibrato and a custom drawn wavetable set to add movement to the sound and make it unique, we get to grips with some of the more hidden away features of Zebra 2.
Using the GeoBlend feature allows us to get totally creative and make unique wave-tables for any sound which, in turn, makes our creations 100% ours.
We also use a filter with modulation on the resonance parameter using an MSEG (Multi-Stage Envelope Generator) to give us the required pluck that we are after. We also use key follow here for maximum pluckiness.
Finally in Zebra 2- Creating A Trance Pluck we use effects including ModFx, Reverb, EQ and delay to add that ethereal depth to the sound which gives the sound its character and why its used widely in Trance.
Zebra 2 – Creating A Trance Pluck shows this method in an easy to follow, precise and fun fashion with additional automation techniques in Cubase.
