Zebra 2 - Creating a Psytrance Lead 2
In this Zebra 2 – Creating a Psytrance Lead 2 tutorial we use the oscillator in Dual mode using the Quad Squad oscillator preset.
This preset gives us an excellent starting point for this sound. De-tuning this preset also helps loads as well as applying Sync and Oscillator effects.
We then add a VFC (voltage control filter) in High Pass 12 mode with modulation of the cutoff taken care of by a Global LFO (Low Frequency Oscillator).
We also further increase the modulation of the filter cutoff frequency by modulating the parameter further in the Matrix with the same G.LFO as used earlier.
Using a pre made midi pattern we then start to really adapt the sound and find the popular Psytrance lead sound expected in most psytrance tracks.
In Zebra 2 – Creating a Psytrance Lead 2 we further adapt the sounds with effects and some EQ to get us that defining psytrance lead sound which really sets psytrance apart from most other genres.
