Zebra 2 - Acid Plucky Type Sound
In this Zebra 2 – Acid Plucky Type Sound I show you how to make a staple of most happy type dance music like Trance and some house music.
We use a simple saw wave for a clean starting sound. We use the hard sync feature to add a touch of edginess and aggression.
Next we add a V.C.F (voltage control filter) and modulate the filters cutoff frequency with an envelope.
The amp and filter envelopes are set up to give a short duration note for the plucky aspect of the sound.
The trick to this Zebra 2 – Acid Plucky Type Sound are the effects. We use a delay effect for space and added melodic values. We also use a reverb for space and depth.
Lastly we add an EQ to the sound just to cut the lows out and add some sparkle in the high mids and high frequencies.
Finally in Zebra 2 – Acid Plucky Type Sound we use the Performance section of Zebra to add another level of control by using the X/Y parameters assigned to the EQ bands and use them to ramp the frequencies for live and real time modulation.
