How To Create A Psychedelic Trance Bass Using Zebra

In this Zebra 2 – Psychedelic Trance Bass tutorial we use a different method to get similar results to the Psychedelic bass video I created a few weeks back.

We use 2 Oscillators in this video to get the sound nice and chunky. Both Oscillator are set to re-trigger to keep them as tight as possible.

We then add a VFC (Voltage Control Filter) and then use the filter to smooth out the overall timbre of this bass sound. We use a Low Pass filter to achieve this.

Also in Zebra 2 – Psychedelic Trance Bass 2 we use envelope modulation to control the filters cuttoff to add clarity and punch to the overall sound.

I also explain how to use the velocity on both the amp envelope and the pattern itself to create different rhythmic movement.

I briefly show you how you can take this sound further by adding effects like E.Q and also dropping in a comb filter.
