Get Grooving With The Zebra Modulation Sources

Finally, some funky sounds! All done in Zebra with some weird modulation stuff going on, check this out!

So this week is going to be a bit tricky, but a lot of fun! The more stuff you do with modulation the more weird unexpected results you are going to get, that is the basic rule here. And once you start to modulate the modulators; strange things can happen! Feel and funky-ness is not often a good friend of the digital world, still you can do a lot of stuff with modulation sources, because this adds an amount of randomness, and humans are random!
You’ll get a more sloppy feel if you subtly change the rate of a LFO for example or if you change the speed of an MSEG. When you start to play around with this you’ll notice when the sounds goes toward a more humanised feeling, be careful not to loose it again!
Some things seem like they dont wanna be modulated, because they don’t have the famous empty knob with the 3 dots below them. But fear not! You can go to the ModMatrix and find the parameter you want in the list! Sometimes the names don’t really match though, with the different filters for example, but you will find you way!
