Learn How To Create A Noisy Chill Pluck in Sylenth
In this tutorial, Echo Sound Works will show you how to make a noisy chill pluck in Sylenth. A good sound for numerous genres!
I liked this sound because it has some unique character, or at least is does to my ears. I started out using the noise in both Part A and Part B for this chill pluck in Sylenth.
I typically use the noise in Sylenth as an effect or an afterthought. Rarely have I basically built a sound from the ground up running into the noise first. I also used two instances of the triangle waveform, so no saw waves in this one!
The noise in OSC A of this chill pluck in Sylenth is a little different sounding than in OSC B. Different voice amounts and octave shifts are responsible for that. If you’re wondering why I used two instances of the noise waveform for this sound, it’s because I controlled each one a little differently in both the Oscillator section and the Filter section.
The rest of the sound is pretty straight forward. I used the MOD ENV 1 to modulate the Cut Off and turn the sound into an actual pluck. Other than that, reverb an delay to taste!
