Make an Epic Supersaw Lead in Sylenth
In this tutorial, Echo Sound Works will show you how to make an epic supersaw lead in Sylenth. It’s a very modern sounding Super Saw!
Sylenth is perhaps best known for being able to create huge saw leads. This epic supersaw lead in Sylenth flexes that muscle.
I used all 4 oscillators for this epic supersaw lead in Sylenth. One oscillator was acting as a noise generator. Instead of using 3 instances of a Saw wave, I did use one instance of the TriSaw waveform just to add some variation.
I’ve found that having the RETRIG button unchecked works best for supersaw sounds in Sylenth. If you leave the retrigger button on, you can end up with more of a keys sound than a saw sound.
If you’ve ever made a supersaw sound and wished it sounded bigger, try this trick. Make sure you spread out the oscillator’s voicing’s to make sure you have both low and high frequencies represented in the sound. Adjust the mix and blend between the lows and highs for a very big, but clean sound.
Finally, using the Foldback distortion can be a really useful way of giving the supersaw sound some modern edge to it.
