Create a Drop Worthy Progressive Lead in Sylenth1
In this tutorial, Echo Sound Works shows you how to create a drop worthy Progressive lead in Sylenth1. Perfect for your floor filling anthems!
I actually stumbled across creating this Progressive lead in Sylenth1 when I was tweaking a pad preset I had made. I think it would sound really huge in a drop section and is definitely a summer banger type of sound!
The most important aspect in creating this Progressive lead in Sylenth1 is to make sure you set your Filter inputs to AB and BA. If you don’t have the filters set up like this, your sound won’t turn out as big as the one in the video.
This sound is huge in part because every oscillator is using 8 voices and there is a good amount of detune and stereo spread involved. I’ve found that using a combination of the Fine Pitch edit and Detune achieves a more usable result as opposed to just jacking up the Detune alone.
Also, it’s very important to set your AMP ENV settings modestly. As the bulk of the decay, sustain and release is achieved by modulating the Cut Off in the AMP MOD ENV sections.
