Dirty Up Your Saw Leads in Sylenth

With a VA Soft Synth like Sylenth, sometimes you have to get creatives to make new sounds. Part of this is due to the fact that Sylenth only comes with so many waveforms, but applying these tips will help dirty up your saw leads in Sylenth.
The first thing you can do to dirty up saw leads in Sylenth is to use a filter other then a low pass. In this tutorial, I used a bandpass filter because it gave it a nice brassy sound. You could also play around with the high pass filter too!
You can also use the distortion effect to help boost certain frequencies that are being highlighted using a filter like the bandpass.
Finally, using an effect like the Phaser, even subtly, can really help make a sound much more interesting. I will typically use it just to enhance the stereo spread of a sound.
