How To Design A Filthy Trap Lead in Sylenth
In this tutorial, learn how to create a filthy Trap lead in Sylenth that will work with multiple genres like Dubstep and Hip Hop.
Sylenth is often thought of as a Trance and super saw synth, but it is capable of doing a lot more. This filthy trap lead in Sylenth can be used in a real banger!
The smallest tweaks in Sylenth can create a huge amount of change to the overall sound. If you try to remake this Trap lead in Sylenth, make sure you get the filter settings and the modulation envelopes set up properly. Also, don’t forget to change the AMP Envelope settings in Part B to have longer sustain and release times.
I used a really long portamento setting to make the sound more interesting to play. The pitch down effect is actually just a combination of having a long glide time and setting the master polyphony to 1.
I also think this Trap lead in Sylenth is a great starting point for adding third party processing like Sugar Bytes WOW or Fab Filter Saturn.
