Amp Envelope VS Mod Envelopes in Sylenth
Echo Sound Works shows you the difference between the Amp Envelopes and the Mod Envelopes in Sylenth and when to use each.
Have you ever wondered when is the right time to use the Mod envelopes in Sylenth versus the Amp envelopes?
The Amp envelopes exist so you can quickly create your sound and make the bare bones of it respond how it’s suppose to. By that I mean, if you’re making a pad, then you are going to need to boost the Attack to make it sound like a pad. If you’re trying to make a pluck, then you’re going to adjust the Amp envelope settings to reflect that etc.
But what are those Mod envelopes in Sylenth for?
They are for strengthening your sounds. If you think of them like this, they remain a simple concept.
In this video, I use the Mod Envelopes in Sylenth to modulate the cut off to create some depth and movement to the sound. The key here is the actual sound doesn’t lose it’s foundational character.
Check out the video to hear how this works!
