Self sync warp mode to make a thick saw bass
In this weeks Serum tutorial we start a four part series showing you how to make a fat saw bass using oscillator sync, and then we go over how to turn that sound into a wave frame you can import back into Serum.
We also go over what to expect from my forth coming Serum Masterclass. If you want to master Serum and then some, this course is for you. We go over every feature in Serum with examples from every discipline related to audio engineering and sound design.
In this first video in the series we discuss what a fat or “thick” saw bass, and go over two of the main types, the multi voiced non-retriggered saw bass, and the sine wave boosted fundamental saw bass. This leads us into the next video where we begin to discuss the sync warp mode and how we can use it to make a thick saw bass.
