The great thing about NI Polyplex is that it’s more than just a typical sampler. It gives you great amount of control over creating your own samples and sounds.
In each sample pad in NI Polyplex, you get control over the various elements of a drum sound that allow you to make brand new samples. Johnny walks you through how to make a kick drum for example.
You can choose the various parts of a kick drum like the sub frequency, the attack and body phase. That is, you can load up a sample for the sub and control envelope parameters as well as pitch then load up another sample and have that act as the attack phase or the body phase.
This really does take sampling to a whole new level. Having control over decay for instance, can make finding that perfect kick sound a lot easier!
