Custom Reaktor Knobs - Modulation Ring
In this video, I build a custom Reaktor knob with a built-in modulation ring that can be controlled by any event (or audio!) source.
This tutorial builds off of work from three previous tutorials on interface design and the new features of the Mouse Area module in Reaktor 5.92. You can find them here:
Creating Advanced Knobs, Part I
Creating Advanced Knobs, Part II
The first two videos show how to build a powerful framework for splitting Mouse Areas into circular pieces and using the separate pieces for a variety of tasks. In this tutorial, I show how to rapidly edit a project with that framework to fit our needs. In fact, it would be easy to add a second modulation ring to this project, once the basic concept is understood.
I hope some members of the community will find this to be a useful tool for creating new and innovative interfaces for their ensembles. If you build anything with it, please let us know in the comments!
