Nine kilometres deep under earth ground… A mysterious location on the Czech border… Sound from the deepest hole on the planet.
Traveling to the deepest hole in the world, Amsterdam based artist Lotte Geeven has recorded ‘the sound of the earth’.
The mysterious location is on the Czech border, where the hole is over 9 kilometres deep.
The journey down was helped by a team of seismologists, geophysicists and engineers, with a series of sound installations made based on the adventure.
It’s not everyday that we hear such low frequencies… Amazing project!
