From earthquake data to orchestral arrangement

Earthquake data translated to music, is it something possible ?

A recent article on “The Creators Project” informs us about a project taking 100 years of earthquake data and make a 8 day long orchestral arrangement.

And the video shows clearly that it is possible and even more, it’s interesting to see and hear.

The result of 780 000 points of data recorded is played by “The Poseidon Orchestra”a generative orchestral composition and visual animation.
