Audio Utilities
AB Assist 2 is a tool for quickly comparing multiple pieces of audio. Aligner is an automatic phase and polarity alignment tool. Jotter is a tool for making timecode-locked notes inside a session. SigMod is a modular plug-in featuring thirteen single-process modules for custom signal architecture
The NEW utility bundle from NUGEN Audio. NUtility Toolkit includes four simple but unique utility plug-ins.
Remove subjectivity and biases
AB Assist is a quick comparison tool. This could mean comparing different takes, mix revisions, versions of a master, plug-in options, or something else entirely! Blind tests can be conducted in ‘test’ mode, with the channels labelled randomly in order to remove any subjectivity or biases. Receive and compare up to four audio sources in any channel count. Auto-match short-term LUFS.
Compare mono fold-down via built-in mono-check.
Perfectly aligned audio in seconds.
When using more than one microphone to record a sound source, you might encounter phase or polarity issues between different tracks. This could be due to mic distance, or any other factor which causes the audio to reach one track before the other. Often this is almost imperceptible, but in many cases it can result in the recording sounding “thin” or “weak”.
Aligner automates the process of correcting these issues.
Designed with collaboration in mind
Simply insert Jotter anywhere in your project, and add annotations locked to the timecode. These can be shared between collaborators either via the plug-in, within the standalone application, or with an exported .csv file.
Although the Jotter plug-in is a paid-for product, the standalone version is free. Clients, colleagues, collaborators, bandmates and more can all download the free app, and add their timestamped notes for you to import directly into the plug-in inside your DAW.
Power up your plug-ins
Instantly enhance the functionality of your plug-ins and DAW with SigMod’s thirteen different signal modification units. Explore new creative possibilities and quickly add missing features. Each module can easily be inserted, swapped and moved around making new options to correct, convert or tweak your audio.
The modules included are Mid/side, Protect, Tap, Crossover, Insert, Mute/solo, Split, Trim, Switch, DC offset, Mono, Phase and Delay. These modules allow you to create custom signal architecture which is either missing from most DAWs, or at least awkward to access.
