Synthesiser for wistful dreams and eerie nightmares
Nightmares, dreams and obscure twisted illusions. In collaboration with Beautiful Void Audio, we bring you Deep Conjuring: a sound-design synthesiser for creating dreamlike instruments. It’s ideal for designing beautiful, strange, and otherworldly tones that skirt the edge between sounding organic and synthetic. You’ll find it useful for effortlessly adding mood to your music: everything from nostalgic melancholy to harsh horror dread. It’s powered by Mirage (VST/AU), our sample-based synthesiser engine; which is included for free. Any of the 92 ‘instruments’ that make up Deep Conjuring can be loaded into Mirage’s 3 layers for further processing with features including as envelopes, filters and LFOs, and finally processed using the rack of included master effects.
Dreamlike Sounds
Deep Conjuring is built around a diverse set of recordings from harps, flutes, violins, rain, tornado sirens, soft synths, and much more. These were then processed using a convolution-reverb-based processing chain. And then finally configured into 92 instruments; some of which are multisampled, some are loops and others are just kept as-is. You’ll find a similar set of samples in Beautiful Void Audio’s original product for Kontakt. Mirage offers a strong set of features for looping, crossfading and manipulating these samples. Deep Conjuring’s instruments are grouped into categories to help the sound design process for you.

Deep Conjuring is designed to be as accessible as possible to producers, composers, musicians, and sound designers. You probably already have what you need if you are producing audio on a reasonably modern computer. There is one exception – Deep Conjuring is not available in the AAX plugin format yet, and so will not run in Pro Tools. Here are the specific requirements:
- Windows: a computer running Windows 7 or higher. Mirage is available as a 64-bit plugin only.
- Mac: macOS 10.12 or higher. Both Intel chips and M1 chips are supported (universal binary).
A host that can play either a VST2 plugin or an AudioUnit v2 (AU) plugin. Examples of such hosts are Cubase, Ableton Live, Studio One, Reaper, Reason, FL Studio, Logic X, Garage Band, and many more. Logic 9 or older does not support AudioUnit v2, and so this product will not work in it.
