High Quality Flexible Delay Unit
Sigmund 2 aims to help you find delay sounds you won’t find anywhere else... all without menu diving, thanks to its intuitive GUI and unique approach to controlling delay lines.
Sigmund 2 is a pristine digital delay with an analogue edge.
It has a familiar analogue-inspired interface, four independent delay lines and features to help you quickly find a fresh sound. This is a delay to take you somewhere new. We all love delays, and that’s why we tend to buy so many. You might be thinking that you don’t need another, but Sigmund 2 wants you to think again. Sigmund 2 aims to help you find delay sounds you won’t find anywhere else… all without menu diving, thanks to its intuitive GUI and
unique approach to controlling delay lines.
Let’s talk about the most important part… the sound. Sigmund 2’s signal path has been designed with maximum attention to detail and zero compromise from beginning to end. As a result, even the smallest delay times can be used with zero artifacts. This means you can cleanly shorten your delay times until they reach chorus or flanger territory, bringing a unique character to your sound.
Sigmund 2 offers four delay lines, each with independent controls.
Not only does this put you in the driving seat when it comes to tailoring your effect to exactly how you want it, but the real beauty of this is realized by using the padlocks system or changing routings.
The padlocks system lets you cycle through different presets while keeping some delay line parameters unaffected, and the routing selector can completely change the topology of how your independent delay lines interact. Using these features can vary your sound in ways that you don’t expect, leading to happy accidents that you won’t find with traditional delay plug-ins.
The GUI has been designed to offer an analogue feel without compromising visual feedback or ease of use.
You’ll find retro-inspired buttons, sliders and dials that offer precise control of digital delays, with clear digital and VU-meters so that you can see exactly what’s happening with your sound, at a glance.
Modulation is a key part of what makes Sigmund 2 stand out from the crowd. With Sigmund 2, its easy-to-use modulation gives either distinctive effects, or subtly changes the character of your delay over time. The LFO modulator makes it possible to include slow or fast rhythmic changes in your delay, and the envelope follower and transient detector allow your delay lines to respond to the audio signal in an organic way, as if the delay effect is part of the texture of the original sound.
Sometimes, Sigmund 2 feels like having four delays in one.
You can add overdrive, filter and select between left/right and mid/side processing for each delay line. Applying touches like this to individual taps within a delay helps give the plug-in its distinctive sound. In short, Sigmund 2 offers a pristine digital delay with enough options at your fingertips to quickly find a new sound. Its four independent delay lines help you find combinations that might not even be possible with other delays. It’s the delay that can help you find your own style.
