The production team at ADSR have taken on music theory duties in their latest release, Melodic Chords & Arps – Cthulhu Presets. Featuring a legendary set of presets specifically designed to take the struggle out of coming up with creative chord progressions and arpeggiated patterns.

We’ve taken full advantage of the vast features in Xfer Records’ Cthulhu, to deliver a whole spectrum of chords in genre labeled key groups. Each preset contains about 4 groups of inspiring chords that are all in the same key making it easier than ever to come up with a fitting variety of chord progressions.

Flick the switch on Cthulhu’s arpeggiator and those chord presets become a melodic lead with tons of flexibility. We’ve even included custom appregiator presets that will give you even more flexibility and inspiration for a variety of electronic music styles.

The ADSR production team is back with another follow-up to their popular Cthulhu Presets series. Although many labels have tried to imitate this series, nobody does it quite like ADSR.

Airwaves Artist Chords & Melodies is the latest iteration of this insanely popular series from ADSR with a new twist. Imagine being being able to play the chord progressions from some of the most popular songs from the biggest artists in electronic music.

No need to frustrate yourself trying to figure out the chord progressions from your favorite songs as they are all laid out in a left to right order for easy triggering.

Airwaves allows you to learn and understand the chord progressions used in some of the biggest electronic hits on the radio. All presets have been sorted in multiple folders categorized by each artist. Within each artist folder are 4-5 song titled presets that contain the chord progressions of that title.

If your a DJ or producer creating remixes, bootlegs, re-works, these presets will easily allow you to re-create the chord structures using your own synth sounds. If you are writing new tracks and are stuck, simply load up a preset within the same key of your song and trigger the progressions in a different order to come up with an entirely new chord structure.

Featuring 3700 chords spread across 100 presets in the majority of Major and Minor scales, you can move into any key you might need by taking advantage of Cthulhu’s transpose feature to change the mood entirely. • The power of this pack comes by having the chords in controlled randomisation of each chord set across the 3 octaves of each preset and it should be used by probing these octaves rather than playing them in order. The examples included in the pack demonstrate this clearly to help you get the most out of it.
