Make A Whistle Transition in Massive in Under 5 Minutes
Echo Sound Works shows you how to make whistle transition in Massive. It’s a great sound for transitioning between sections!
This is by far the shortest tutorial I’ve ever done, but don’t let that fool you! This whistle transition in Massive can be a very powerful tool for transitioning between sections and even cross genre drops.
It can be a challenge sometimes to start a song out in one genre and try to lead the drop into a whole other genre. Sometimes white noise sweeps just don’t cut it.
The tonal element to this whistle transition in Massive is what makes it so powerful. I’ve found that transitional elements or sounds that have a pitch to them tend to make it easier to slide into a new genre or section.
You only have to use one Oscillator for this sound. Just select the VA-Sync wavetable and then apply a lowpass 4 filter. Use an envelope to modulate the pitch of the sound by modulating the Cut Off of Filter 1. The shape of the envelope needs to have a very long attack time. Finally, apply a lot of Resonance!
Now add noise or any other effect you want and you have your whistle transition in Massive!
