The secrets of Velocity, Keytracking and Trigger Random in Massive: Part 2
We welcome Johnny back to continue this months’ featured series about velocity, keytracking and trigger random modulators in Massive.
This week Johhny picks up where he left off in last weeks’ video, showing us how to use the internal modulators in Massive. In this tutorial Johnny walks us through how create an expressive pad preset using keytracking and trigger random as a modulator to effect multiple destinations within Massive.
Keytracking is a great way to help achieve sounds that have slight variation between octaves or even notes. The keytracking modulator is perfect for creating soundscapes and pads as it can help add an almost analog realism.
Next, Johnny touches on how to use the trigger random modulator to create random variances in a playing pattern. This is also another great way of creating an expressive feel to your sounds.
Stay tuned for next week as Johnny wraps up this months’ featured series!
