Phase Modulation Alternate Tunings

In this tutorial, Echo Sound Works shows you some alternate tunings that you can use with the Phase Modulation effect.

A very cool tool in Massive for Deep House/Future House bass sounds is the modulation oscillator and the Phase Modulation. This can take a normal sounding sine or saw wavetable and transform it into a FM style bass.

To make those sounds more interesting, you can use alternate tunings in your main oscillator for a more unique result.

Try using these tunings:

+7
+14
+25
+27

Those will all be in normal tuning, meaning they won’t create interval stacks because of the Phase Modulation.
