Multiplex Atmosphere Using Native Instruments Massive
Using the Multiplex waveform in Massive, and modulating the cutoff of multiple filters using the Performer allows us to create a constantly evolving atmosphere in Massive.
This synth pad is easily created by selecting the Multiplex waveform for two or more of the oscillators and adjusting the wt-position all the way to the left we already have the basis for this atmospheric pad sound. We can then add a Highpass 4 filter and then modulate the cutoff and resonance using the Performer on tab 7. We will then ALSO modulate the Frequency Shifter insert using Performer 7 and LFO 6 to create the high end element of the atmosphere. The rest of the patch just involves adding reverb and EQ to the sound to help sculpt and add character.
