This may end up being a lot more simple than you ever imaged it would be. Thanks to the fact that NI Massive is build on a multi-oscillator structure, it only takes about a minute to get going. Of course, you should play around with some inserts, filters and FX to get your own sound but this is one is hot right out the gates! This video comes to us form YouTube user MTDOfficial. As always, if you like what he’s doing support him!
When it comes to this type of layered sound, I usually take a few extra moments and create a custom environment for it so it stands out from the rest of the sounds in my project. It’s really easy to do, too! All you need is to spend some time with building up reverb from scratch and learn how to “place” different sounds into different “locations” in your mix. If you have the ability to use binaural panning/positioning, you can also set a sound like this up to sit behind, or even above, the listener which adds to the atmosphere even more. Give it a go and see what you come up with. You may just stumble onto something really incredible!
