Kygo Pluck In Massive How To Tutorial
In this tutorial, Echo Sound Works shows you how to make a Kygo pluck in Massive. One of the funkiest sounds I have made in Massive!
I’ve recently gotten a few requests to make some Kygo inspired sounds. If you don’t know who he is, check out this mix KYGO MIX. He basically layers an ethnic sounding instrument, in this instance a pan flute with a typical EDM style pluck. This Kygo pluck in Massive is actually two sounds layered together. One is a pluck and the other is a pan flute-esque sound. The inspiration for this sound came from his I See Fire remix.
This Kygo pluck in Massive tutorial focuses on how to make the ethnic sounding instrument.
The oscillators are not actually that important to the overall quality of the sound. The main things to remember are these:
1.) Choose BRIGHT NOISE and modulate it with an envelope for more control over the sound.
2.) Use the Double Notch Filter to really get the flute sound.
3.) Make sure to Key Track modulate the filter cut off for a more controlled pitch.
Once you have those things taken care of, to finish of the Kygo pluck in Massive all you need to do is add some FX.
