In this weeks original member tutorial, we start a new series that looks at creating Electronica Sounds using NI Massive.
In this weeks original member tutorial, we start a new series that looks at creating Electronica Sounds using NI Massive. In this first part, Jonny demonstrates how to create a vibrant Electronica Key sound. A three Oscillator sound thats envelope has been shaped to near perfection.
Again, Jonny uses the LFO slots like a master. Adding modulation to help cue a beautiful Electronica Key sound. Later in the video he adds a performer to help modulate the Amp of the Noise, and then adds a compressor to the output of the sound to help bring a subtle soft pump to the sound.
Jonny uses a FabFilter Pro-C compressor and FabFilter Saturn multi-band distortion and saturation plugin to help unify the sound. You can check out demos of these plugins at https://www.fabfilter.com. However, it is not necessary to have these exact plugins. Any preferred compressor or saturator could be substituted for the ones used in the video.
We hope that you learned some new ways to utilize NI Massive. Stay tuned for part 2 of the series on Electronica Sounds using NI Massive. Next week we will be focused on learning how to create a Drum and Synth Sequence to help back up our new Electronica Keys!
