Designing an NI Massive Getter Bass
This tutorial will show you how to create an NI Massive Getter Bass. A style of bass that is similar to what the dubstep artist Getter uses. This bass uses two oscillators, a Classic Tube distortion, a Dimension Expander, and a Hardclipper to
To start the NI Massive Getter Bass, turn on OSC1 and assign a Crude Wavetable and leave the settings at full. Turn on OSC2 and assign a Chrome Wavetable, and change the mode to Bend -. Drop the Intensity to 30% and drop the amp to around 60%.
Next, Insert a Hardclipper into Insert 1, and turn the Dry/Wet all the way up. The effects of the NI Massive Getter Bass should have FX1 set to a Classic Tube distortion, while maintaining the default settings. Turn on FX2 and assign a Dimension Expander, and drop both the Dry/Wet and the Size to about 15%. Turn on the EQ and add a bit of High Shelf.
Under the OSC tab, choose restart via gate. You will then want to assign an LFO to the Amp parameter of both OSC1 and OSC2. Then drop the ratio of the assigned LFO to 4. Now that you have the NI Massive Getter Bass complete, you will want to experiment with effects inside your choice DAW to fatten up the sound.
