Designing a Better NI Massive Sub Bass
This video tutorial will show you how to create a gliding NI Massive Sub Bass that is filled with deep and sexy vibes!
It is no secret that NI’s Massive synth is a great tool for creating amazing bass sounds. It’s premium sound quality and ease of use have helped to propel it as one of the top synths in the music industry. In this tutorial we will show you just how easy it is to create an incredibly deep NI Massive Sub Bass.
Start the NI Massive Sub Bass by assigning a Sine-Triangle Wavetable with Bend + to OSC1. Drop the pitch 2 octaves (-24 semitones) and turn down the Wt-position all the way. Bring down the Intensity to 10%, and drop the Amp to 60%. On OSC2, assign a Sine-Square Wavetable and drop the Pitch by 2 octaves (-24 semitones). Turn down the Wt-position all the way, but leave the Intensity and Amp maxed.
As for the NI Massive Sub Bass effects, assign FX1 a Tele Tube distortion. Set the Dry/Wet around 25%, and boost the drive slightly above 50%. In the EQ boost the Low Shelf and drop the High Shelf. On Envelope 4 (4 Env), turn the attack all the way down, and drop it’s level to around 80%. Then drop the Decay level to about 30%. Set the Voicing to Monophonic and Trigger style to Legator. Then under the OSC tab, slightly boost the Glide. And that completes the NI Massive Sub Bass!
