The Melancholia waveform in Massive is capable of generating a ton of unique and original sounds, simply by modulating or adding effects. This tutorial shows how to create a broken wind chime type of synth using Native Instruments Massive.
Simply loading up the Melancholia waveform in Massive, adjusting the pitch by an octave, and then add a Delay Synced to the FX can create this preset in a matter of minutes. If the sound is too piercing for you, be sure to add an EQ and lower the “High Shelf” parameter to take off the edge from the higher frequencies.
