Creating an NI Massive Big Room Electro Bass
This video tutorial shows you how to create a spacious sounding NI Massive Big Room Electro Bass!
This video tutorial will show you how to create a spacious NI Massive Big Room Electro Bass. This luscious bass uses three oscillators, distortion, a bit crusher, and a whole lot of reverb to achieve a huge sound. Tame this gnarly bass and then add a little tweaking of your own to create a truly awesome sounding NI Massive patch!
Start by assigning OSC1 an A.I. Wavetable, and drop the Pitch to -24 semitones (2 octaves). Assign OSC2 a Square-Saw II Wavetable, and drop it’s pitch to -24 semitones and it’s Wt-position to about 20%. Assign OSC3 a Modern Talking Wavetable, and drop it’s pitch to -12 semitones. You should now have all three Oscillators on for the NI Massive Big Room Electro Bass.
Assign Filter 1 an Acid filter. Raise the Cutoff to around 60%, and boost the Resonance to about 70%. Insert a Classic Tube distortion into the FX1 slot of the NI Massive Big Room Electro Bass, and max out the Drive. Add a Dimension Expander to FX2, and raise both the Dry/Wet and Size to 70%. In the EQ, up both the Low Shelf and the Boost to taste.
To finish the NI Massive Big Room Electro Bass, insert a Bit Crusher into Insert 1. Under the Voicing tab, bump the number of Voices up to 4, and enable Monophon. Lastly, under the OSC tab, raise the Glide Time to your preferred amount.
