Centered Vs Chord Unison Control In Massive
Ever wondered what the difference is between Centered and Chord modes in the Unison engine?
Echo Sound Works shows you how to use both modes more effectively and properly.
Basically, Centered is good for thickening up sounds and creating super saw type leads. At 50%, you loose the center voice completely so make your tweaks subtle for a more musical sound!
Chord mode, as the name suggests, is stacking voices in a more chordal structure. For instance, if you have the voices set to 4, pitch the unison up to +12 and turn the slider all the way up, you will have one voice at 0 semitones, one an octave above and below and then the last voice will be two octaves above your center tone. Talk about thick.
