In this NI Massive tutorial YouTube user EmcFRAKTAL shows us how to create an automated bassline sequence using the Performer, as well as how to save the pattern for future use. Saving controller settings is something that many people overlook and it can save you a ton of time trying to recreate something again later, as well as provide you a better chance at building a ‘signature sound’ for yourself in some cases. This video shows just how flexible a sequenced pattern can be, and reminds us that you do not need to use an entire pattern every time you play a note, and much of the time you are better off taking advantage of this fact. It helps to create projects with much more character and appeal, with less repetition and predictability!
