3 Sound Design Mistakes To Avoid in Massive
3 Sound Design Mistakes To Avoid in Massive is a mini tutorial course that will show you three common pitfalls that seem to be pretty common for presets made in Massive.
Part 1 – Forgetting To Think About Mix – Remember, a sound is just a preset unless it’s used in a production, track or mix. Massive is very capable of making larger than life sounds and sometimes that’s a bad thing. There is limited space, range and frequencies in any mix and it can be struggle to get big sounds in Massive to play nice.
Part 2 – Don’t Forget Less Is Usually More – Don’t use everything just because it’s there. Not every sound needs to have 3 Oscillators active, 2 Insert Effects, 2 Filters and 2 FX slots on if you catch my drift.
Part 3 – Don’t Be Afraid to Modulate – One of Massive’s most powerful features is the modulation capabilities and the Macro controls. Macros are basically custom FX racks that can be tweaked with one flick of a knob or slider. Usually, modulation is what will take a good sound and make it great.
