Write Melodies In Your Browser With Google's New "Song Maker"
In conjuction with Chrome Music Lab, Google has made available Song Maker, an online interactive step sequencer that lets you create melodies with a variety of instruments including Piano, Woodwind, Synth, Marimba, and Strings.
To make a song, add notes by clicking the grid. Then, share your song with a link. You can also use a MIDI keyboard or sing a note into your mic.
You can also use your computer keys. Press the arrow keys to move, enter and backspace to add and remove notes, and spacebar to play.
The interactive step sequencer also provides a Settings panel that allow you to specify the time signature, scale and octave range of the application. Pretty cool stuff!
You can go here to experiment with the fun online step sequencer.
