Watch Foley Artists Reproduce The Sounds Of Wind, Water and Storms
In this video from Great Big Story, we explore the unique task of foley recording and the various approaches that are taken to mimic realistic sounds in films.
The audio heard during a film scene plays a major role in its realism and overall effect, and a majority of sounds we hear are actually recorded by foley artists in post-production! As foley artist Alyson Moore explains, it’s quite easy to take these sounds for granted, but we’d surely miss them if they weren’t there.
