This Synthesizer Never Went Into Production, Digitana Has Acquired It

Synth manufacaturer Digitana Electronics has gained possession of the the E.M.S. Synthi KB1 keyboard, one of the rarest (and coolest looking) synthesizers out there as it never found its way into the commercial market.

We get a rundown of Digitana Electronics acquisition of the synth from this Facebook post,

The synth never went into production. It has remained essentially unused for 46 years though Steve Howe (YES guitarist) did use it on a track in the first of his ‘homebrew’ demo recordings, some of which featured on the bands albums.

Digitana Electronics also states that they plan to release more demos and photos of the E.M.S. Synthi KB1 keyboard in the near future…and we can’t wait!
