This Music Video Synchronizes CG Images With Each Sound
The relationship between audio and visuals is a fascinating one. Every artist has a tendency to add their own flavor to the audio-visual realm, and this video is by far one of the most unique approaches we have seen. Created by Victor Doval, he uses an algorithm to generate abstract CG images in sync with his music…and it looks freakin’ awesome!
From the video’s description, Doval explains:
The diverse frequency bands have been used to algorithmically define the visual parameters such as geometries, materials and lightings. Through this sonic analysis and spectral decomposition each element and texture of the track has been visually processed.
It would definitely be interesting to learn, even to the smallest degree, how he wrote an algorithm that can do such things. This of course is not Doval’s first CG creation, and you can visit his Vimeo to check out more of clever works.
