Royale Filter Is A Free Filter For OS X
Royale is a new analog filter/gate emulation AU for OS X 10.9 and up, and it’s available for free. Developed by Brazilian software company Royale Audio, it looks like a pretty nifty utility, especially with its LFO envelope shaper.
As of now, it looks as though it’s only compatible with Logic and Ableton, but there’s no reason that Royale Audio wouldn’t extend DAW compatibility later on.
Features
- Easy syncing with odd tempo signatures
- Great sidechain patterns
- Vintage filters modeled with the latest signal processing technics.
- Simple and rhythmic LFO wave editor.
- Low CPU usage
It’s always nice to have sidechain effects taken care without the need to route everything yourself, pick the right triggers, manage multiple sidechain tracks, etc. Also, Royale’s LFO shaper could help create movements that we usually spend time automating!
If you have a Mac with OS X 10.9 or above, you can go here to grab Royale for free. Let us know what you think!
