Pomodoro Is A Productivity Timer For Ableton Live
If you are not familiar with The Pomodoro Technique, it is a method of productivity in which one times themselves for short 25 minute intervals so that time can be best utilized. Plugin developer pATCHES has created a Max For Live plugin to accomplish this very thing, allowing you to set a timer for yourself within your Live sessions.
pATCHES describes the inspiration behind Pomodoro:
When you break it down, music production is an exercise in both creativity and productivity. Without a mindful approach to the latter, it’s easy to end up lost in meandering exploration. I’ve found it helpful to “outsource” the structure of my work to external, objective guidance and one of my favorites systems for this is the Pomodoro timer. This device puts the productivity clock directly into the Live set to assist with tracking and committing to the goals you set for your session.
Pricing and Availability
Pomodoro is available for free for Ableton Live 10 users and you can visit the pATCHES website to download.
