Moogfest 2019: Moog Teases New Vocoder Synthesizer
In the approach to this year’s Moogfest on April 25-28, 2019 in Durham, NC, Moog has released this Engineer Workshop trailer that features a never-before-seen Eurorack vocoder module that we can expect to learn more about after Moogfest 2019.
Moog describes this year’s Moogfest:
Join us at the Engineer Workshop during Moogfest 2019 and find your creative voice.
The Engineer Pass is your VIP ticket to Moogfest 2019 and reserves your spot in a special 2 day synth-building workshop. Under guidance from Moog Engineers, you’ll get hands on with analog electronics by building an unreleased Moog Synthesizer.
This year’s design (shown here patched into synthesizers from previous years’ Engineer Workshops) explores how electronic instruments create an analog of the human experience, speaking directly to the way in which physical circuits resonate within one’s self to create a “Spectral Shift”…
Notice that Spectral Shift is in quotes…perhaps this will be the name of this upcoming vocoder? In addition to the Engineer Workshop (priced at $1500.00), Moogfest 2019 will feature performances from notable artists including Kimbra, Martin Gore of Depeche Mode, William Basinski, Matthew Dear, synth wizards like Richard Devine and many more.
You can visit the Moogfest website to learn more about the festival.
