A hook, a drop, a breakdown …whatever you want to call it, there is no debate that they can make or break a track. Think about all of the songs that you didn’t recognize until the hook started, or how many times an awful hook has made you hit the skip button at light-speed. It is good to keep these things in mind when creating your own hooks.
