Making Ambient Music With Analog Radio Signals
In this video from Hainback, titled Nevada in my Dreams, we watch an ambient synth jam using the teenage engineering OP-1 alongside radio signals that are amplified using the Koma Electronics FIELD KIT.
From the video’s description, he describes the use of the FIELD KIT:
First full piece of music I made using the Koma Electronics Fieldkit. The kit mixes everything, controls the speed of the walkmen tape loop, plays radio, and uses the envelope from the radio as a rhythmic element.
The Koma Electronics FIELD KIT is one of the most unique hardware audio processors we’ve seen, as it provides a thorough set of functions and tools for crafting audio signals. It can even receive audio from electromagnetic pickups, providing a world of possibilities for audio inputs.
