How Disney Got Daft Punk To Score TRON: Legacy
In an article from Oh My Disney, we get acquainted with the story of how Disney managed to get the and only Daft Punk to score the Tron film. Mitchell Leib, President of Music and Soundtracks for Walt Disney Records explains:
“When Daft Punk finally committed, they told the studio that they were going to “push off any other project.” All they did was work on the score for TRON: Legacy for 19 months: no tours, no more records, nothing.”
Apparently, when the duo first received the request from Disney to score the film, they were too busy with other projects and were unable to commit proper time to the score. However, the company persisted and Daft Punk eventually agreed.
