Something special about the Octatrack, a feature that the Digitakt lacks, is that it can process live audio – a helpful tool in generating new ideas as well as improvising during a live performance. Additionally, the Octatrack is capable of both pitch shifting and time stretching audio while the Digitakt can only manipulate the playback rate.
The Octatrack was recently upgraded to a new model, the Octatrack MKII, introducing new workflow improvements as well as changes to the overall interface of the device.
