E370 Quad Morphing VCO - Prototype Demo
In this video, we watch a demo of the E370 Quad Morphing VCO, a synth module (Eurorack-compatible) from Synthesis Technology that contains 4 distinct voltage-controlled oscillators alongside an oscilloscope for each respective oscillator. The Kickstarter campaign has reached its donation goal, however they are requesting additional funding to help manufacture the incorporation of linear FM.
From the video’s description provided by Richard Devine,
Just doing a Drone test with the E370 and E371 Expander prototype Quad VCO. It’s a combination of features from the E340 and the E350 using a new class of ARM processor with high-quality Cirrus Logic audio DACs. The audio was ran through a new Mutable Instruments module for light processing.
VCO Parameters
- COARSE/FINE controls set the initial frequency (no external modulation applied). The range of each VCO is set in the VCO page and can range from 1 cycle in 22 minutes to over 18KHz.
- FM controls the depth of frequency modulation by the external CV. The FM can range from DC to over 15KHz without aliasing.
- MOD A/B controls – each VCO has 2 programmable modulation CVs and associated attenuator. The function of MOD A and MOD B are dependent on the VCO mode.
