808 Day: Roland Unveils TR-08 Rhythm Composer, Recreation Of Vintage TR-808
In celebration of 808 Day, Roland has introduced the TR-08 Rhythm Composer, a boutique clone of the vintage TR-808 drum machine. Expanding upon the company’s Boutique and AIRA series, the company has also announced the SH-01A, a boutique clone of the the SH-101 synthesizer, as well as the SP-404A Linear Wave Sampler.
The TR-08 Rhythm Composer is one of the most exciting of Roland’s new boutique products, bringing back one of the most well-established drum machines in the music production world. The best part about the TR-08 is that it provides all of the same features of its predecessor that TR-808 enthusiasts know and love, from its punchy sounds to its robust 16-step sequencer.
