How to Integrate Reaktor and Maschine 2.0
In this video, salamanderanagram shows how to add Maschine browser meta-data to your Reaktor snapshots, and how to add your custom user library folders to the Maschine User Library, allowing you to use Reaktor and Maschine together more easily and naturally.
Reaktor and Maschine are a match made in heaven, but to get your ensemble snapshots to actually show up in your Machine browser library there are a few key steps to follow. It involves a little digging in Reaktor to get it all set up. Fear not though, for this is actually something that anyone can do, regardless of knowledge or comfort level in either program.
This video from salamanderanagram is short, concise and very easy to follow. It shares everything you need to know to get Reaktor and Maschine to work seamlessly together. Once you have enable the Show Meta Info feature, you will be able to quickly and easily tag your snapshots either individually or by folder.
Now all that is left to do is tell Maschine where to look for the ensemble snapshots on your computer or hard drive and click the Rescan button. This will quickly rebuild your browser database and reflect any changes you made. Your newly updated library should now show your snapshots just like any other synth preset. Now you can enjoy using Reaktor and Maschine together the way it should be.
